Mariama Whyte is a guest artist at "Social Justice and The Arts” - presented by The Social Justice Institute at Case Western Reserve University. This will be an exceptional concert experience where you can dine and enjoy jazz by the band “Freedom First” featuring Keith LaMar and Albert Marquès. Keith LaMar is an innocent man in solitary confinement on death row at the Ohio State Penitentiary and everyone should know his story. He is a thought-leader, painter, spoken word artist, and author. You will have a very unique chance to hear from Keith, experience his story through the power of music, and learn how you can support the cause towards his exoneration and freedom. I am honored to be singing one of my original tunes during the program. Other featured local artists include dancer Martinique Mims and award winning actor, Ananias Dixon.
