Mariama Whyte will be performing a set of music for this special event. Shaker Heights Public Library and the Cleveland Association of Black Storytellers present a Toni Morrison Community Read-Out celebrating Song of Solomon. Part of Ohio Celebrates Toni Morrison, this event invites the community to read the novel in advance and gather for shared reading, live performance, and conversation. Participants will explore key themes, hear powerful excerpts, reflect together, and enjoy light refreshments in a welcoming, communal setting for all community ages.

A limited number of copies of the book will be given away after March 25, 2026, to those who have registered. The books have been provided by the Shaker Community Martin Luther King, Jr Celebration Committee and the Friends of Shaker Library.

Mariama Whyte will be performing with the Cleveland Pops Orchestra for a special night of music that was Made in America including Ragtime, Dixieland, Big Band, Rock, Country, Blues, Hip-Hop and more as we celebrate America’s semi quincentennial celebration. We will also perform a special salute to our armed forces and first responders.

A special program highlighting stories from members of the Cleveland community and their reentry experience. An incredible fusion of music and storytelling. Mariama will be performing with renowned trumpeter, Dominick Farinacci, and his band. Doors open at 6:00p. Performance starts at 7:00p

Mariama Whyte is a guest artist at "Social Justice and The Arts” - presented by The Social Justice Institute at Case Western Reserve University. This will be an exceptional concert experience where you can dine and enjoy jazz by the band “Freedom First” featuring Keith LaMar and Albert Marquès. Keith LaMar is an innocent man in solitary confinement on death row at the Ohio State Penitentiary and everyone should know his story. He is a thought-leader, painter, spoken word artist, and author. You will have a very unique chance to hear from Keith, experience his story through the power of music, and learn how you can support the cause towards his exoneration and freedom. I am honored to be singing one of my original tunes during the program. Other featured local artists include dancer Martinique Mims and award winning actor, Ananias Dixon.

Mariama Whyte will be joining Forecast, prominent Cleveland instrumental band, for a special tribute to music legend, Roy Ayers.

Mariama Whyte will be performing at Cleveland Play House’s annual gala, “Emerald City.”

Mariama Whyte will be performing an entertaining set of original and cover songs - from R&B/soul, to pop, jazz, ballads, and Broadway hits. Free and open to the public.

Mariama Whyte will be performing with the Cleveland Pops Orchestra at their G-Clef Ball, honoring Gina Vernaci, former President of Playhouse Square.

Mariama Whyte will be making her Severance Hall debut as a featured performer with The Cleveland Pops Orchestra in "The Envelope Please."

The Cleveland Pops will honor past and present Oscar nominees and winners of “Best Picture” and “Best Score”, including selections from E.T., Black Panther, Titanic, Lord of the Rings, The Godfather, and more.

Mariama Whyte will be performing during the opening reception (February 28) at the "Protecting Your Crown Conference," presented by Africana Studies and the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusive Engagement at Case Western University.

Mariama Whyte is back on the acting stage, starring as "Rabby" in James Ijames Pulitzer Prize winning play, "Fat Ham" at the Cleveland Play House! Come enjoy this hilarious adaptation of William Shakespeare's "Hamlet."
